Wendy Weiner is a playwright and performer. Her plays and solo pieces have been presented in New York at HERE, Ensemble Studio Theater, the Public Theater, the Hot Ink Festival, and the New York Fringe Festival, among others, and regionally at Intersection for the Arts (San Francisco), the EXIT Theater (SF), and ArtAttack Theater (Ashland, Oregon). Most recently, her play about Hillary Clinton, Hillary: A Modern Greek Tragedy with a (Somewhat) Happy Ending, was produced in New York by New Georges. Wendy has been an artist-in-residence at Djerassi Resident Artists Program and Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and her writing has been published in American Theatre magazine, Bitch: A Feminist Response to Pop Culture, and in Smith & Kraus’s “Best Women Playwrights” book series. She received her MFA in 2007 from NYU’s dramatic writing program, where she was named a departmental fellow and awarded a full-tuition fellowship.
